Villa Pescadores doesn’t have a hotel or spa, like some other hotels in the area, but an array of fun things to do and the great ambiance of this place will make up for it. 

The open-air restaurant is directly on the beach, with wooden furniture and a high thatched roof, and ceiling fans overhead. There’s also a beach bar with cute swings that make for a perfect photo op! 📸

This property features 24 rooms and is about 15 minutes from downtown Tulum by driving, but you don’t have to go far if you want to go dining and shopping: there are plenty of small boutique stores and restaurants within walking distance. 

The restaurant at Ana y Jose serves traditional Mexican cuisine made from local produce, including freshly caught fish. The terrace bar provides superb views and is a perfect spot for sunset watching. 

The hotels can also organize a range of excursions like visits to Mayan temples, hiking in the jungle, diving courses, and other popular Tulum tours

If you are a luxury traveler, look no further than Azulik, one of the most famous beachfront hotels in Tulum, Azulik is a private, adults-only beach resort and Mayan Wellness Center. Yoga classes are offered daily for an additional fee. 

Staying in one of the Stunning treehouse-style rooms is a fantastic experience, and is definitely worth the money, although Azulik is one of the most expensive beachfront hotels in Tulum.


The accommodations come with a private deck with outdoor day beds, seating areas, and views of the lush jungle and the Caribbean Sea. Some suits come with plunge pools; others feature outdoor hot tubs.

The rooms at Azulik don’t have TVs, phones, or electricity so you can disconnect during your stay. Wi-Fi is available only in common areas. 

Azulik serves breakfast and lunch. It has a spa and beauty center where you can enjoy traditional Mayan massage and healing therapies, medicinal herbal baths, and the Mayan Temazcal treatment. Three on-site restaurants offer views of the jungle and a mix of Mexican and Japanese food.

Panamera doesn’t offer a spa-like some other beachfront hotels in Tulum, but the property has regular wellness programs like yoga, meditation, massages, weekly boot camps, sound healing, tea ceremonies.

What is the best month to visit Tulum?

December through April is the best time to visit Tulum if you are looking for perfect sunny weather and want to enjoy Tulum beaches without seaweed. Keep in mind that it’s also the high season which means that prices on accommodations and flights are more expensive.
