MISTAKES TO AVOID IN SWITZERLAND

1. DON'T BE LATE  Swiss people are known for their punctuality. Arriving late for appointments or reservations is considered impolite. Always strive to be on time.

2. AVOID JAYWALKING Pedestrian rules are strictly enforced in Switzerland. Always cross the road at designated crosswalks and wait for the traffic light to signal that it's safe to do so.

3.  ALWAYS CARRY CASH Many places in Switzerland prefer cash payments, so always carry some Swiss Francs. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it's a good idea to have some cash on hand.

4. SKIP BOTTLED WATER The tap water in Switzerland is safe to drink, so there's no need to buy bottled water, which can be expensive. Carry a reusable water bottle to fill up as needed.

5. YOU DON'T NEED TO TIP While tipping is appreciated, it's not as common or expected as in some other countries. Service charges are often included in the bill, so check before leaving a tip. If it's not included, rounding up the bill or leaving a small tip is acceptable.
