Whether you want waffles, a classic breakfast Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes, or BLT sandwiches, you will love this place! The service is always friendly and attentive, and servers at the Floridian do their best to accommodate everyone’s requests. 

4. The Original Pancake House 

The Original Pancake House is an all-American diner in downtown Fort Lauderdale that offers classic breakfast items like strawberry French toast, apple pancakes, omelets, fresh juices, and coffee. 

Their strawberry crepes are delicious and breakwich can be shared between several people. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

One of the best breakfast restaurants in Fort Lauderdale on the water, Ocean 2000 is located inside the Pelican Grand, one of the best beachfront hotels in town

Here you can try seafood as well as many vegetable dishes and a variety of other options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many guests come for the Ocean views, but stay for the incredible atmosphere of this place, as you can enjoy your meal on an outside patio.

6. El Mar Cafe

Located in Lauderdale by the Sea, a charming town a short drive north of downtown Fort Lauderdale, El Mar Cafe is an all-American breakfast locale that serves classic breakfast items made from fresh ingredients.

You can grab classic options like omelets and fresh fruits and BLT sandwiches, croissants, and pancakes with bananas which go perfectly with a cup of orange juice or coffee.

The restaurant is located just off the main square, and while it looks pretty inconspicuous, don’t write it off. This spot is a real gem of Lauderdale by the Sea! 

Prices at Del Mar Cafe are very reasonable, especially given the restaurant’s top location just a few blocks from the beach.

7. Foxy Brown

Foxy Brown, is a popular spot in Las Olas that’s known for its brunch, it’s always busy thanks to their creative menu with innovative options.

Some of the most popular options include waffle sliders, patty melt sandwiches, and doughnut holes. If you are stopping by for brunch, try their breakfast bread pudding and raspberry white chocolate pancakes – they are delicious!

Other items worth trying are sunrise arepas, green and grain bowls for a healthy touch, and classic Benedict.

You can’t go wrong with one of their signature from the breakfast bar like grapefruit spritz, cold brew coffee on draft, or Mimosa which is made from orange juice, pomegranate, cranberry, and peach. 

Their brunch options are available only on weekends from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

One of the local’s favorites in Fort Lauderdale, Top Deli is a traditional Jewish deli that puts a fun twist on a breakfast. On top of that, it’s a perfect place to start the day, if you are looking for something more authentic. 

This is a family restaurant that is named after Elliot Wolf’s grandfather, who emigrated from Germany to NYC in 1936 with his top hat.
