Nanou is a French bakery that has plenty of breakfast options like pastries, sandwiches pancakes as well as freshly squeezed juices, iced and hot coffee, and smoothies.
Their breakfast options include avocado toasts, eggs Benedict, breakfast sandwiches, and omelets. Other popular options include pancakes, salads, and combos that come with a variety of juices, coffee, sandwiches, and croissants.
2. OB House
One of the best places for breakfast in Fort Lauderdale, OB House is a perfect place to start the day. It’s a popular spot with a garden and a spacious outdoor seating area, a cozy atmosphere, and mellow music.
The food here is fresh and made from scratch. Their menu features an assortment of classic breakfast items like sandwiches, coleslaw, blueberry corn pancake, biscuits and gravy. Don’t forget to order their freshly squeezed orange juice.
The staff at OB House is extremely friendly and welcoming.

3. Floridian Restaurant
The Floridian is a true local spot and a longtime neighborhood staple in tourist areas with incredible options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This place has a more down-to-earth atmosphere compared to many popular eateries in Las Olas, their dishes are always delicious and portions are big enough, so you won’t leave hungry.

Whether you want waffles, a classic breakfast Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes, or BLT sandwiches, you will love this place! The service is always friendly and attentive, and servers at the Floridian do their best to accommodate everyone’s requests.
4. The Original Pancake House
The Original Pancake House is an all-American diner in downtown Fort Lauderdale that offers classic breakfast items like strawberry French toast, apple pancakes, omelets, fresh juices, and coffee.
Their strawberry crepes are delicious and breakwich can be shared between several people. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast is served every day until 2 p.m.

5. Ocean 2000
One of the best breakfast restaurants in Fort Lauderdale on the water, Ocean 2000 is located inside the Pelican Grand, one of the best beachfront hotels in town.
Here you can try seafood as well as many vegetable dishes and a variety of other options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many guests come for the Ocean views, but stay for the incredible atmosphere of this place, as you can enjoy your meal on an outside patio.
Although this restaurant is definitely on the expensive side, it’s a perfect spot if you want to celebrate a special occasion or treat yourself to a nice dinner.

6. El Mar Cafe
Located in Lauderdale by the Sea, a charming town a short drive north of downtown Fort Lauderdale, El Mar Cafe is an all-American breakfast locale that serves classic breakfast items made from fresh ingredients.
You can grab classic options like omelets and fresh fruits and BLT sandwiches, croissants, and pancakes with bananas which go perfectly with a cup of orange juice or coffee.

The restaurant is located just off the main square, and while it looks pretty inconspicuous, don’t write it off. This spot is a real gem of Lauderdale by the Sea!
Prices at Del Mar Cafe are very reasonable, especially given the restaurant’s top location just a few blocks from the beach.
The restaurant is open 24 hours!

7. Foxy Brown
Foxy Brown, is a popular spot in Las Olas that’s known for its brunch, it’s always busy thanks to their creative menu with innovative options.
Some of the most popular options include waffle sliders, patty melt sandwiches, and doughnut holes. If you are stopping by for brunch, try their breakfast bread pudding and raspberry white chocolate pancakes – they are delicious!
Other items worth trying are sunrise arepas, green and grain bowls for a healthy touch, and classic Benedict.

You can’t go wrong with one of their signature from the breakfast bar like grapefruit spritz, cold brew coffee on draft, or Mimosa which is made from orange juice, pomegranate, cranberry, and peach.
Their brunch options are available only on weekends from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

8. Archibald’s Bakery
Archibald’s Bakery is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale tucked behind major resorts a few blocks from the beach. They have tons of freshly baked goodies like cinnamon rolls, blueberry scones, muffins, cookies, and gluten-free banana bread.
The bakery also offers brunch items like egg focaccia, savory brioches, Frittata breakfast sandwiches, and savory wraps. If you are gluten intolerant, try their gluten-free quiche made with a mix of greens and balsamic vinaigrette.

9. Village Cafe
Village Cafe is one of the best brunch places in Fort Lauderdale Beach that offers an extensive menu with delicious breakfast and brunch options like handcraft sandwiches and burritos made in-house from fresh ingredients, as well as salads, omelets, and acai bowls.
If you are in the mood for something sweet, grab one of the sweet treats try their baked goodies like pancakes, and muffins, and top it off with a fruit plate. And don’t miss out on their signature flatbreads with toppings like arugula, mozzarella, and bell peppers.

One of the best breakfast restaurants in Fort Lauderdale on the water, Tinta is a perfect place to start your day along Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Their menu offers classic breakfast items with a Mexican twist like Mexico City omelet, Yucatan omelet, or Baja California omelet. Other popular items on the menu include burritos, carne asada and eggs, avocado toasts, machaca skillet, quesadillas and tacos.
La Tinta also has some sweet options with a variety of pancakes and waffles. Guests love friendly service and delicious food at this place.

12. La Costa
La Costa is a hidden gem of the area, tucked in a quiet corner, that has amazing reviews. If you are looking for a break from busy Mexican restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, you need to check it out.

From the towering artisan bean dip and chips to the coconut rice and beans side dish hidden under a halved coconut shell, this place knows how to present its food.
What makes La Costa special is its personable service and tons of food options. The restaurant is just a few blocks from Fort Lauderdale Beach in a small plaza across from Las Olas parking garage.

13. El Vez
As a vegan, I recommend flavorful Kale Caesar Salad and veggie tostadas, but there are plenty of regular options on the menu like make-your-own tacos, half nacho mama, flautas, and ceviche.
If you want to celebrate a special occasion or treat yourself to a fancy dinner, this is one of the best spots.

16. Top Hat Deli
One of the local’s favorites in Fort Lauderdale, Top Deli is a traditional Jewish deli that puts a fun twist on a breakfast. On top of that, it’s a perfect place to start the day, if you are looking for something more authentic.
This is a family restaurant that is named after Elliot Wolf’s grandfather, who emigrated from Germany to NYC in 1936 with his top hat.
Here you can try matzo ball soup, the signature “doughssant,” a mix between a doughnut and a croissant, French toasts, sandwiches, and pot pies.

17. Jet Runway Cafe
If you want to enjoy your meal with the view of take-offs and landings, stop by Jet Runway Cafe, a perfect spot to grab a delicious meal in an airport-themed setting. Jet Runway Cafe is a hidden gem of Fort Lauderdale, and not many visitors know about it.
While many tourists choose to have their breakfast and brunch along the beach, this place offers an entirely different vibe.
The menu features many staples from southern cuisine like fried bread pudding, chicken and waffles, and cakes. They also have a variety of appetizers and popular brunch items, so make sure to come hungry!
